Serpent I Have Become
I was like a young snake, ignorant of the amount of love
I shot through my fangs
It was too much at once
I poisoned the flame we had on our candle
Now I’m a serpent and I am aware I can not live without warmth there
So I can not risk smothering the flame again.
-Love can be the happiest thing ever, but it can also cause the most pain.
